A native Baltimorean, Apostle Allison Fowlkes Lightner was raised in Baltimore County, Maryland. She was educated in the Baltimore County Public School system and is a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She preached her initial sermon on October 19, 2003. After which she was trained and nurtured by her former pastor and mother in ministry Rev. Dr. Frances “Toni” Draper.
Apostle Lightner's ministerial roots are in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (AME Zion). She received two levels of ordination, deacon and elder, 2008 and 2009 respectively. May of 2008, she founded the New Light AME Zion Church.
After 5 years of service in the AME Zion Church, Reverend Lightner was ordained under the apostolic covering of Dr. Karen S. Bethea and the Set the Captives Free Pastoral Alliance on December 28, 2014. With this transition the beloved New Light AME Zion Church was transformed to Light of the World Outreach Center, where Bishop Lightner serves as the pastor.
January 2020, she transitioned under the apostolic covering of Wilbert L. Baltimore, Chief Apostle, King's Apostle Church International, Inc. and designated to the bishopric in October 2020
May 30, 2021, Apostle Lightner was consecrated into the bishopric and affirmed Apostle by The Most Reverend Wilbert L. Baltimore, Chief Apostle, King's Apostle Church Inc.
Kingdom Lighthouse Assemblies was unified with Kings Apostle Church Inc. and was established as the Fourth Diocese of KACI and Bishop Lightner was appointed as the Fourth Diocesan Bishop.
In addition to serving as the apostolic leadership of KLA and The College of Apostles with King's Apostle Church, she is also the Executive Director of Lighthouse Community Development Corp. A Non-profit organization whose main focus is to be a hub in the community; and to assist with the needs of those who live in the community.
Apostle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and will complete her Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership in December 2023.
Apostle Lightner is married to her devoted husband, Deacon John Lightner. Together they share six wonderful children, John Lightner, Jr., Ashley Lightner, Johnathan Lightner, Joshua Richards, Justus Campbell and Johnae' Lightner.
